RFT didn't print my letter, but this instead:
A Note from the Publisher
Here at the Riverfront Times our editorial staff reviews St. Louis restaurants every week. Once a year our advertising department produces a special issue that gives St. Louisans an opportunity to nominate their favorite restaurants. Ballots are carefully tallied under the supervision of the publisher to maintain the fairness and integrity of the polling process, and the results of the poll are featured in "Restaurants 2004."
"Restaurants 2004" is a fun way for St. Louisans to talk back to us; we regret any blunders, typos and/or misrepresentations the supplement may contain.
I didn't say it wasn't fair, I just said it wasn't correct.
Do pick up the issue anyway, though; the Slipknot article is well worth it.

TRL discovers Adam Green
Anti-folk is a beautiful thing, people. Now that Jessica Simpson is a super-duper star, I suppose that the establishment has deemed Adam Green's tribute to the once-anonymous pop songstress Cool and Hip and Funny and Marketable. Meh, I'm pullin' for ya, Adam. Watch the video, it's hilarious. Watching people speak their mind on MTV is always quite refreshing, as well.
I am behind on work and fearful, but will hopefully deal. Thurtene Carnival food will likely be cheap and delicious. If you're curious as to the electronic music endeavors I've been working on, here is a new piece I'm very proud of. If you are inclined to pick it up, the Riverfront Times is printing another letter of mine in the next issue. You may or may not find it pleasantly amusing.
...By the way, the electronic music won't actually sound like that.
...Necessarily.

See, you forget that St. Louis is one of the worst cities in the nation for allergies, and I take a 15-or-so-minute walk to and from class every day in a campus full of trees, a mere walk from one of the largest parks in the country. Pollen is hungry for my blood. Pollen wants to see me suffer.

I think I liked all of these garage rock bands better back when they were just one band, and they were called the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

So Daylight Savings Time was Benjamin Franklin's idea, right? Dave and I were talking about it, and he mentioned that Ben Franklin ran away from home at 12 to live with his brother.
The lesson here is that if you run away from home as a child, you will become a genius. ...Or a tweaker.
